During the week beginning 29th February we had Book Week with lots of exciting activities for all year groups.
A storyteller came in to work with classes from Reception to Year 6, focusing on making Shakespeare accessible to all ages. She told us the story of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and then we did a role-play workshop.
Afterwards we all got together and performed the play for each other. Nursery and Reception also had a storyteller come in to do a workshop based around the class topic of minibeasts.
The 3rd March was World Book Day and so to celebrate this, we dressed up as our favourite book characters and shared a book with children in another class. The school council came around and judged the costumes, awarding a prize of a certificate and book to the 2 best costumes per class.
