On Monday, children from year 3 -5 travelled to The Olympic Park in Stratford. All the children were able to watch a number of different sporting events. They loved cheering on the athletes, especially the ones from Great Britain. And they were lucky enough to witness Olivia Breen, a long jumper win gold!
On Tuesday 11th July, KS2 took part in their annual sports day! On the 24th March, Children from year 1 – 6 took part in a Sports competition where they were put into their house teams.
Some of our pupils here at Grange had an incredible opportunity to have a tennis lesson taught by Paralympian silver medallist, Andy Lapthorne. Their photo appeared in the Newham Recorder! (Article shown above) We are very proud of them for taking part and trying their best!
On Tuesday 4th October, years 4, 5 and 6 took part in a cross country event at West Ham Park. Around 10 Newham schools took part with Year 4 running 2.5km and Years 5 and 6 running 3km.
On 30th September, Ms Miller and sports leaders from Eastlea led athletics wwith children from years 4, 5 and 6. During the session they did activities involving running, jumping and throwing.
On 6th July, we had an athletics tournament for Years 1 to 6 where we competed in a variety of athletic events in house teams.
