The Speak out Stay safe programme gives a generation of children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect.
Pupils are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or to Childline.
Pupils at Grange had the benefit of attending an assembly and workshop around how to understand forms of abuse, how to spot signs and know how to protect themselves. The morning was child-friendly and explored the area in a lively and interactive way.
The NSPCC staff member commented that ‘the children were very bright, articulate and had some great ideas.’
