On 9th February, Class 1 and 2 visited a local Sikh Gurdwara Temple as part of our class topic.
On 16th March we supported National Autism Awareness Week by wearing our onesies to school to raise money for The National Autistic Society. We also learnt about autism and how we can help through a whole school assembly.

On 25th February a group of Year 6 pupils took part in a debate competition along with other Newham schools. We took part in two debates on the topics ‘Should school uniforms be banned?’ and ‘Should under 16’s be banned from using the Internet?’ and won them both!
On 11th February, EYFS classes had a visit from the Dinosaur Dome as part of our class topic. Inside we watched an exciting visual display projected onto the dome all about different dinosaurs.

On 29th January there was a tennis event at the Lee Valley Tennis Centre for Key Stage 2 SEN pupils. We took part in a variety of activities along with other schools aimed at developing tennis skills.
Key Stage 2 classes had a great opportunity to take part in a dance mat competition in the school hall on 13th January, which challenged our balance and coordination skills. We divided into groups and danced until we had a winning group.
On 10th December the Key Stage 2 choir went to Westminster Cathedral to perform in a carol concert. Schools from across London and Essex took part along with adult choirs and parents were invited to come along and watch.
Neptune were our house winners this half term and as a reward for getting the most team points, the children (from Years 4-6) went on a special trip on 3rd December to the Olympic Park.
