There has been a launch of a new fund called the Youth Empowerment Fund. The fund aims to provide financial assistance that will assist Children and Young People invest in training courses, computer equipment, tuition fees, digital media and much more. The Fund is unique from other funding streams or grants whereby young people are invited to apply directly on their own behalf to secure assistance across a broad range of initiatives or opportunities and in doing so foster a growing sense of agency, as they begin to think about and shape their own future.

This amazing initiative is open to any Newham resident between the ages 9-25 years who meet the criteria set out in the website.

Attendance

It is important that pupils attendance school everyday and on-time. Education is vital in ensuring that your child develops academically and socially, in order to get them ready for their next phase of education and the future of work. At Grange, we encourage good attendance and actively take a role in ensuring children are accessing education fully and being the best they can be. It is parents/carers legal responsibility to ensure their child/ren are attending school. The table below shows expected levels of attendance in green and what missing days from school equates to over an academic year:

To learn more about what our school is doing to improve our overall attendance and how we can help support you and your child, please see the following information leaflet.

If you would like a downloadable version of this please ask in the office.

Safeguarding Statement

Grange Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have many policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection and Anti–Bulling Policies which can be viewed in the policies section on our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have a reason to believe that to do so would be in conflict with the child’s welfare.
